Terms and Conditions

- The Financial Services Authority (FSA) The FSA is
the independent watchdog that regulates financial services. It requires
us to give you this document. Use this information to decide if our
services are right for you.
- Whose products do we offer? We offer products from a
range of insurers
- Which service will we provide you with? We will advise
and make a recommendation for you after we have assessed your needs.
- What will you have to pay us for our services? Our remuneration
will be either commission paid to us by your insurance company and/or a
fee as agreed with you, we would usually make a charge for arranging, amending
or cancelling any policy of insurance. A policy administration charge
will also be made in respect of new policies and at subsequent renewal. The
amount of charge will be identified.
We may also receive remuneration from insurers that are not directly related
to the services provided to you. This may be in the form of a management
or administration fee or revenue based on volume or profitability of insurance
placed with a given insurer over a given period.
We may also receive commission on any separate credit facilities arranged for
you.

Policy cancellation - The policy can be cancelled at any
time throughout its duration. However, should you decide not to proceed
with the on cover policy within 14 days of receiving your documents, you must
contact us immediately. Any documentation must be returned to us promptly
as refunds cannot be issued until we are in receipt of these documents. Your
insurers will make a charge as detailed in your policy documents for the period
of cover prior to cancellation. In addition, on cancellation of any policy,
the commission reclaimed from the insurance company will be deducted from any
refund, subject to a minimum administration charge of £15.00. Any
other related policies such as Legal Expenses or Breakdown cover will be cancelled
with the main policy and will only be refunded if the policy is cancelled within
14 days of receipt of on cover documents and subject to no claims having been
reported. Should a claim occur during the period of cover provided then
full premiums and charges may become payable. Any requests for cancellation
should be directed to the office shown on this letter.
Additional products / services
Motorist Services Limited - Legal Protection - The annual cost of this product
is £20.00, payable when you accept this policy. This comprises
of an intermediary fee of £19.05 for the arrangement of the insurance
on your behalf and Insurance Premium Tax of 95p (IPT 5%).
Motorcycle Accident Claims - Legal Protection - The annual cost of this product
is £20.00, payable when you accept this policy. This comprises
of an intermediary fee for the arrangement of the insurance on your behalf.
MSL - Household Legal Protection - the cost of this product is £20.00
payable when you accept this policy. This comprises of an intermediary
fee of £15.45 for our arrangement of the insurance on your behalf, the
insurer’s premium of £3.55 and Insurance Premium Tax of £1.00
(IPT 5%).
Motor and Motorcycle Breakdown Insurance - The cost will be shown separately
at the point of sale.
Installments - Please note that payments are made by way of a loan (see your
credit agreement). Should your loan payments default or cease, full payment
of the outstanding balance must be sent to our office within 7 days of being
notified. In the event of a claim occurring all payments of the loan are due
before settlement of the claim. Please note that your payments made may not
cover the costs of the insurance provided in the event of cancellation of the
policy.
Confidentiality
All information you supply will be kept confidential to T G Webster (Insurance
Services) Ltd and the insurers with whom it deals, or unless T G Webster
(Insurance Services) Ltd are required by law to comply with a subpoena and/or
compelled by law (including law enforcement agencies) to comply with the
Data Protection Act and/or any ensuing statutory enactments.
Proposal forms
All answers on any proposal form and any other statement made to us by you
are your responsibility. If we are requested to amend or enter any
additional information on your proposal form by you we will send you a copy
of the form indicating what we have done. You will have the opportunity
of correcting any amendment if it is not true.
Disclosure of information
It is important that you understand that any information or answers given to
us must be correct. Any other matters or information which might influence
your insurer as to the acceptability or otherwise of your proposal for insurance
or the renewal of it must be disclosed at the earliest opportunity and certainly
at each renewal. If you do not tell us then your insurance may not
cover you properly or may not operate at all. If you are unsure about
any matter you may contact us for guidance as to whether it should be disclosed
or not. You are advised to keep copies of all letters that you send
us for your own protection.
Awareness of policy terms
When a policy is issued you are strongly advised to read it carefully, as it
is that document, the schedule and any certificate of insurance that is the
basis of the cover you have purchased. If you are in doubt over any
of the terms or conditions please seek our advice promptly.
Specimen Policy
A full specimen of any policy is available on request.
Quotations
Any quotation given is operative for a period up to the end of the current
month unless stated otherwise.
Claims If you have occasion to claim on your policy you must
notify us promptly. We will advise you of the claims procedure and pass
all details to your insurer. You should not admit liability nor agree
to any course of action until you receive confirmation from your insurer.
Documents We reserve the right to retain certificates
at this office until all payments, due under the policy, have been made and
any cheques cleared through our bank account.
Intermediary’s/Agent's Credit Agreements T G Webster
(Insurance Services) Ltd are the agents of the insurers for the purpose of
collecting premiums. Payment of cleared funds to us comprises payment
to them. We require full payment of the premium within 7 days of the
inception date or renewal, unless special terms have been otherwise agreed
by us in writing. If payment is not received by the due date we are obliged
by the insurer to cancel the policy giving you written notice of not less than
7 days by recorded delivery letter for motor insurance policies.

1AQ is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority. Our
FSA registration number is 118497. Our permitted business is arranging
general insurance contracts.

If you cannot settle your complaint with us, you may be entitled to refer
it to the Financial Ombudsman Service.

Are we covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS)?
We are covered by the FSCS. You may be entitled to compensation from
the scheme if we cannot meet our obligations. This depends on the type
of business and the circumstances of the claim.
Insurance advising and arranging is covered for 100% of the first £2,000
and 90% of the remainder of the claim without any upper limit. Further
information about compensation scheme arrangements is available from the
FSCS.
